Sterling Physical Therapy & Associates is a locally owned and independent private practice that provides physical therapy, aquatic therapy, and massage therapy. We are physical therapist owned, which means we value quality and personalized care for our patients. We provide hands on, one on one, individualized treatment for each patient in order to reach their rehabilitation goals.
Gaye Barnard, PT: Gaye is a graduate of West Virginia University and the Physical Therapy School at the University of Kentucky. She has 20 years of physical therapy experience in outpatient therapy, home health, and aquatic therapy. Her areas of interest are orthopeadics and manual therapy. Gaye holds a special certification to perform Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM), has extensive training in myofascial dysfunctions, and postural/balance disorders. She has had the pleasure of working in Mt. Sterling for the past 20 years and has a vested interest in the needs of this community. Gaye is member of the local Chamber of Commerce and committee member, American Physical Therapy Association member, Kentucky Physical Therapy Association member, KIPTN member, Orthopeadic section member, and registered provider for Performance Dynamics. Gaye resides in Lexington with her husband, Mark, and two daughters.
Jamie Baxter, MSPT: Jamie is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she holds an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and a graduate degree in Physical Therapy. Since graduating from physical therapy school she has worked in Mt. Sterling in the outpatient and public school settings. Her areas of interest are aquatic therapy, hand therapy, rehabilitation for neurological disorders, orthopeadics, and vestibular rehabilitation. Jamie is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and former Board member and previous committee chair, graduate of Leadership Montgomery County and current Board member, American Physical Therapy Association member, Kentucky Physical Therapy Association member, KIPTN member, and Private Practice section member. Jamie holds a special certification to perform treatments of vestibular/balance disorders. She resides in Mt. Sterling with her husband, Tyson, and two daughters.
Cindy Salyers, LMT: Cindy Salyers is a Licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist who graduated from Spencerian College of Lexington, KY. Her treatments include a variety of techniques to meet the specific needs of each client. Cindy has studied Orthopedic Massage with James Waslaski. Orthopedic massage can help people with chronic and challenging pain issues and injuries. Other treatments include, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Hot Stone treatments, and Trigger Point Therapy. She strives to meet each clients needs, through confident touch by listening, learning and providing a safe and relaxed environment.
